Mozart's Vienna

"Mozart's Vienna" is part of the exhibition MYTHOS MOZART at the Steffl department store in Vienna and shows a magical, artistic journey through 18th century Vienna. The immersive art experience shows by means of large projections a creative interpretation of the city and the way of life in Vienna 250 years ago. 

Artistically oriented to the art of the period and spanning over 40 meters, it is a recreation of various city scenes and locations in the style of animated paintings, creating an immersive experience for the visitors. 

The journey starts in the morning mood on the rural areas around Vienna, before we go to the bustling inner city markets, take a balloon ride above the roofs, down to catch a glimpse into people's windows, even into the small world of a paper theater playing the magic flute. 

Various art styles and animation techniques were used to assemble large panoramic scenes which were brought to life by animation. To the score of Mozart's famous musical pieces, and authentic ambient city sounds the 11-minute film provides an artistic and authentic glimpse into the city at the time of Mozart's life.
