Blender geometry nodes are like your favorite thing? You love building procedural cities and assets of any form? Is this the tool that you know every little detail about? Perfect, come join arx anima, a multiple award-winning studio! We are looking for you; a Blender geometry node pro.
We are arx anima based in Vienna's 5th district and have been producing cinema productions for years. We also have the courage to try every new technical challenge and innovation.
Be it the realization of a high-end MoCap studio in our basement or the construction of the largest render farm in Austria. And besides all the R&D, features and series we love to work on creatively animated commercials and other service work. For example, we just revived Mozart through an immersive 360° art projection about Vienna in his era.
What are we looking for?
Besides having an in-depth knowledge of the Blender geometry nodes, we’re looking for someone with an eye for composition who is excited in creatively solving artistic and technical challenges. You know your way around 3d Assets and what makes a scene seem natural. Procedural modeling as well as texturing is your daily business and you're happy contributing to other, already existing, geo nodes tools, upgrade/extend them and return them to their author to immortalize your work. You like the idea of working with Houdini and partnering with our team you want to move your output in our USD compositions.
What will you be working on?
You will be part of the Team producing DIE HEINZELS - NEUE MÜTZEN, NEUE MISSION - The sequel of the already very successful movie: DIE HEINZELS - Rückkehr der Heinzelmännchen. Together with Seru Animation & Akkord, we’ll produce this movie set for release in the third quarter of 2024. Learn more about the movie here.
Your task for that movie is to create buildings and put them together into a beautifully composed city. You’ll be working with the tools and assets of other artists & if needed create/adapt them.
Tasks: update geometry nodes from other artists, create geo nodes from scratch
Soft skills needed: Communication skills, thinking out of the box, brilliant mindset
Software: Blender, Geometry nodes inside Blender
Personnel responsibilities: No
Payment: Day Rate: starting at 200€ but willing to increase depending on experience
Date: Flexible as it will be task based rather than time based. Roughly 10.2022 - 1.2023
Weekly hours: See above. To be agreed with the supervisor of the project.
